The passing of Dr. Falwell on May 15, 2007 comes as a great loss to those of us who knew him. And while we know that he looked forward to the day when he would meet our Lord more than any other, we can’t help but feel that one of God’s great “Champions for Christ” has left us.
I owe a great deal to Dr. Falwell and for his faithfulness to God’s leading. His vision gave me my education. His instruction taught me how to have a strong marriage. And his passion served as an example for how a Christian should live in the 21st Century. It’s been over a decade since I first set foot on Liberty Mountain, but I have come to learn that the impact of those four years has influenced me for a lifetime.
It is my hope that this site is not just a place of mourning for the loss of our pastor, Chancellor, and friend, but that it is a place to celebrate the tremendous impact that this man has had on so many generations of Christians.
